china is hyper materialistic culture. even more than americans. korea is slightly less but very high materialism and superficial too, 20% of korean girl have their fist plastic surgery by young age.

japan is less materialistic because to they have been very wealthy country for longer time in past 100-200 years, and it's basically culturally higher stand. it's almost that in japan showing off wealth and being flashy is looked down upon as bad manner. in ginza etc. it's mostly chinese who show off wealth, not japanese people.
