Market sentiment is trailing. You can't predict market swings. Your entry and exit points will get fucked, especially with leverage. The issue with liquidation isn't about circuit breakers. It's the SEC dicking around, and long term bear markets where the companies running the 3x ETFs no longer find it profitable to operate. The volatility drag can fuck 3X ETFs into oblivion over a long recession. That being said, you can hypothetically buy and hold UPRO/SPXL because of the lower volatility and upward trend of the underlying (SP 500). Or use a 200 moving average strategy to limit volatility among other things.
