The weird thing is actual scary shit snaps me out of it completely. I saw my coworker shatter his elbow, calm as a placid lake. Car accident, panic deleted. Calmly got out, looked at damage. Didn’t care. Friend cut his forearm open to the muscle in front of me. Squeezed it together and butterflied it while calling 911.
