Without the objective standard of the dollar to measure my life against I.. I cant imagine anything else.
From my trade I'm worth X amount of $ per hour. So when I pick up an item in the shops I think to myself "this this worth 3 hours of my life?" or when I talk to a w*man I think to myself all the costs she will incur me and likewise I think is she worth X amount of hours of my life for the amount of enjoyment / headache she will cause.
Often all the above answers are NO so I save money easy.
