My favorite book is Ecclesiastes. It's a very good read, even for persons who don't believe in God (yet). It's very down to earth and it gives answers to a lot of questions in life. While I'm probably one of the worst persons alive, I always try to use the Bible as a guide to life. I see it as some kind of cheat.
Whenever someone needs advice or has a problem I usually try to find things about that topic in the Bible and usually I find the right things to say

15Then said I in my heart, As it happeneth to the fool, so it happeneth even to me; and why was I then more wise? Then I said in my heart, that this also is vanity. 16For there is no remembrance of the wise more than of the fool for ever; seeing that which now is in the days to come shall all be forgotten. And how dieth the wise man? as the fool.
