it's honestly a travesty what the boomers did to us. my dad worked at the same company for almost 45 years now. i'm working at the exact same company and i will likely be leaving in 3 because my boss is a piece of shit who forced me to clock in clock out including a half hour unpaid lunch so im stuck there 8.5 hours a day, plus a commute that both ways typically totals around 2.5 hours. boss doesn't give a shit, "you know [the corporation] isn't responsible for your commute, right?" he told me.

i honestly hope they completely cave to my demands at the 3 year mark. i hope i get to stay and every year i plop a couple of job offers on my boss's desk and torture him with it. i hope i get to stay a long long time doing that, if God is good. just to make up for what i've been through. this is what motivates me to be the best goddamn worker ever so i can rape him hard against a desk (metaphorically) when the time is right. i literally fantasize about this day.

loyalty being a meme if fucking correct, and it's sad. i honestly wish i could just work hard and be awesome and get rewarded for it naturally. clearly that's not the world we live in though.
