it's okay, I almost got excited a couple days ago about the dam stuff. And then I remembered that /pol/ is mostly retards who refuse to take any responsibility for their shitty lives and blame others, and that they're always desperately hoping something really bad will happen to other people so they can feel better about themselves or something.

Still, it might be worth making a play on rough rice futures...

the fact that we still don't know why the virus seems to fuck with the sense of taste leads me to embrace the possibility that it acts on the nervous system. Some viruses that effect neurons lie dormant in them for the duration of the infected's life. If it becomes a condition that flares up in the future, like cold sores or shingles, it could be real bad news.

TSM pulled it's business from Huawei when the US said they had to. That's not terribly neutral.
Looks like Trump has won them over by promising massive subsidies to build a top of the line factory in the US. And the Taiwanese are likely desperate because they know they're next after Hong Kong.

But really, if the Chinese manage to dominate the waters over there, would the US bust through to come to Taiwan's rescue some how? It seems like a battle destined to be lost.

>it wasn't TSM that was fucked, it was Huawei
Oh definitely
>China is rushing towards SMIC right now, but they're only good for the bigger processes.
This is what I hear.
Do you know anything much about SMIC? I threw a very small amount in on a lark, but I'm considering getting involved more in Chinese semis, and they might be the way to play it. But the price is extremely high, their market may be going towards stupidly big bubble status.

>i'm certain that TSM will get part of the subsidy
No, if you're talking about the bill that is supposed to be under consideration in congress, I think that's actually separate. I think no one knows what Trump promised them.
