Hey /biz/ i've been betting successfully on sports for a few years now. I use kelly criterion to determine my bet risk. Has anyone here "made it" from sports betting?

My main problem is getting banned from sports books. They only let me win about $10k per account and then I get banned and have to set up a new account under someone else's name and start over at $1-$2k and build back up again.

Some people have suggested I switch to financial markets but I know absolutely nothing about it. If I were to switch to "betting" on financial markets, how would I go about it?

I'm almost in the exact same situation as you. I'm 26 thousand in debt but have 20 thousand in assets that were worth 40k at one time. I'm not too worried because job pays good and is "essential" so no possibility of a layoff no matter how bad the economy gets. I can afford to long con it, but the money lost on interest rates is going to be a fucking bitch and a half to make up for long term.
I eventually capitulated and sold covered calls until I was out of my positions. Now I just wheel options to make passive income until this stupid fucking nigger we call a market finally decides to crash.

Best advice is don't panic, maybe pick up more hours at work until you have some semblance of savings.
