>you rock

No u, my fren. When you reach the point where you've looked at as many ancient coins as I have it's easy to recognize and identify things you've seen before, you're still getting your feet wet but trust me you'll get much better with time. Can you post a pic of the other side, and tell me what the coin weighs? Kinda looks like an obol or hemiobol. The crystallization shows that it is 100% without any doubt a genuine coin so while the condition isn't ideal I like crystallized ancient silvers because their authenticity is self-evident, hard to go wrong at such a low price.

>Speaking of ebay, something i started to do lately is directly connect on my account with a .de, .it, etc.. domain, to start to slurp on stuff with international arbitrage. For the US i'm sure you could make a killing fren, with 5RM selling for $25+ when you can get them in bulk on .de for below half this price, and the international shipping fees aren't too outrageous too.

I haven't done it for a while, but I used to sign in to .de and .es a lot in my hunt for ancient/medieval artifacts and coins. Bought a sweet collection of coins on the .it site too with an eclectic mix of ancient roman, scythian, medieval english hammered silver, 18-19th century coins and tokens, and some 20th century sterling silver coins all for just $40, it was ridiculous. Had to use a parcel forwarding service in Italy to smuggle it out (export of coins forbidden kek) which added another $20 but it still would have been a steal if it cost me another $200. I had gobs of fun looking for cheapies that europoors didn't know are rare and valuable, I ought to dust off that strategy again.

Yes it was, and from what I remember of the before-pic the results look great and you more than paid for them both with the proceeds, very good work! Rest well buddy.

That's a cartwheel tuppence, a bit more valuable than the 28g penny. Where do you get the idea that they're filled with lead? I bet some counterfeits were made with a lead core but the real ones were pure copper.

I appreciate the insight fren. Do you know why they made decimal 2p coins to begin with? Did common items like stamps or candy cost 2 or 4p when they switched to decimal in the 60s?

>having you junk stored in tubes is not nearly as fun as having them in cloth bags that you can just dump out on the floor and roll around on.

Based. Yeah it's fine to be organized but I've always preferred having sacks and piles of loose coins and artifacts, for me it's much more pleasurable to play with a table strewn with treasure than having it all neatly organized and languishing in flips or capsules.
