This strengthens my belief that we are at 15-20k customers today and are going to slightly surpass 20k customers by year end, maybe reach 25k.
So while the article says that Lition Energie is expected to have a revenue of 10 Million EUR for 2020 this is outdated data because in the beginning of the year they were pulling in a lot less then today. At 20k customers they would be pulling in 20 Million annualized (Richard always said that a household is approximately 1000 EUR in revenue).
Given the valuation of European utilities to be between 0.4 and 2 times their revenues it is possible to claim that Lition Energie Gmbh should be valued at about 40 Million Euro or 47.5 Million USD. I would say that case of being on the higher end of the valuation to revenue ratio is easy to be made given it's high growth rate (+525% yoy per the article).

Isn't it funny that a 50 Million USD organisation is dependent on an 8 Million USD blockchain?

This is not the same as company earnings.
The company only owns x% of tokens staked and their earnings are thus only a % of this 7 million LIT or 900k USD.

Also company valuation is not entirely relevant to coin valuation discussion.

If its because lack of competition (probably a big factor) since there are not that many trust nodes online, fine. It could also be that the LPS is not yet taking part of the profits generated by all of the txs going through the main net, while trust nodes do.

For example, some anon claimed he was staking 400k through a node, earning him 700 a day. That is roughly 1.3x or something higher than the current 1.8 LPS payouts.

Very exiting non the less, and I'm obviously staked and based. Never selling, not caring too much about the price. I only want that passive income in a year or two. And fuck schizo Mike.

Even the excitement on /biz/ is low.
two months ago the litgens were starting to role over the night and when litgens weren't made about 5 lition threads started popping up on the board.
We deliberately killed the momentum a bit to not create a bubble and keep accumulating and then Mike struck with massive FUD.

Now mainnet is here but the energy is still not quite as high as then with last litgens dying at burger time.
