Had this thread a couple months ago and wanted to gather some /biz/ related Movies/TV shows to watch. I'm looking specifically for media that portrays business realistically (as possible, they are tv-shows after all) and give you a good look at how it's done.

My current list is below:

--TV Shows--
House of Lies - Probably my top /biz/ show, though it gets really into drama in later seasons

Ballers - pre season 4 it's great

Succession - Great show that also goes into power families behind businesses

House of Cards - I know it's politics, but power politics exists in business as well

Mad Men - A little drama-heavy for me, but it does a great job on marketing/sales

Silicon Valley - Other than the asspulls at the end of every season and the fact that's it a comedy, this gives a good view of egos in the tech sector
Please no Shark tank, The Apprentice or similar garbage.

I'm looking to increase the amount of /biz/ related media I go through. Currently, I've found the following to be pretty interesting and business-related. Any other suggestions?

Movies:
- The Big Short
- Margin Call
- Wolf of Wall Street

All 3 for obvious reasons

TV Shows:
- House of Lies
At least for the first few seasons until it turns into a sappy romance drama
- Ballers
At least until the last 1.5 seasons, which turn into a sappy SJW fuckfest
- Succession
A good view of the pitfalls that money and business bring, especially in a family.
- Billions
A great mix of politics and business along with how they mesh together, may rely a bit too much on improbable Death Note-level shenanigans

Also, don't try pitching Shark Tank. It's as much about business as undercover boss.

How do I make money off my Instagram?

I have like 5600 followers, and I'm following 2800 people

So I have like 50% more followers, or a 1:2 Following/Follower ratio

I get like 100+ likes on certain pictures and sometimes I get only 20-25

When I use hashtags I get around 125-150, and 50-75 likes

I've thought about starting a car picture page, or like maybe a "rich people life" page, or even just posting pictures of myself

The problem is, how do I choose what to do which will allow me to start some sort of Insta Business?

Like a car page would let me start like a car website, but then a "rich people life" page would only let me charge people to advertise using my page

Any ideas?

Do your high school grades and college grades even matter in life? Is it possible to succeed without getting 99%, or a 4.0 GPA's?

Why do people say the only way to succeed is to get good grades, then go to a prestigious college, then get a good high paying job with the government and lots of benefits for you and your family?

Why is it so fucking forced on people that school > a good life.

When I look at school I see a cesspool of young people competing with each other for 1 fucking job at a lousy hospital with shitty hours and a $50 hourly net pay.

Why the fuck can't I become a painter and sell my artwork on Instagram, or buy a good camera and make videos of peoples cars for YouTube?

Why can't I be a private jet charter, or financial planner for people?

Why can't I become an interior designer like the Property Brothers on the W Network, or HGTV?

Why can't I someday buy my own island, why must I live in the suburbs in an overpriced house that won't fill my needs?

Why do I have to fly economy, why can't I spend more on First or Business?

Why the fuck must I be told every morning, "good luck on your test", why can't I be told, "good luck in the markets today"?

Fuck this world biz, full of fucking degenerates, and fucking baby boomers, fucking us over as best they can.

We teach the Pythagoreas Theorem in school but don't teach how to have anal, when in life you'll 90% of the time be having anal more than using the Pythagoreas Theorem.

Why is it when I do a presentation in school my teachers shun my efforts and say the video I showed about the future of education where kids can learn from a laptop outside near a fountain while their teacher Skypes them from the top of the Shanghai Tower, my peers, classmates, friends, and adults all rush into the room and say I'm causing a scene because somehow a debate comes out that turns 99% of the class towards me, and I'm the single person defending the future that I see?

When you do real estate investing, should you be buying the propriety out-right or is it normal to take loans?

Are banks comfortable giving you multiple mortgages when your intention is to rent them out?

I have a decent amount of money saved and coming in, I'm looking to get into this. Any pointers for a complete newb?

What pairs well with a finance major? I'm considering asian studies and also learning German over the summer holidays. Any other ideas? I'm realistically not smart enough for heavy mathematics and don't 'live and breathe coding' but am capable of learning it.

Okay so I've got a very good idea for a blog that would be interesting and helpful for millions of people (For obvious reasons I won't state what it's about). I've got about 50 different, individual post topics and there's nothing in the way of me coming up with more seeing how the subject my blog will focus on is relatively broad. I've written 10 posts on roughly 1000 words each and will write about 10 more before starting the blog. Also I'm working on the whole process of buying a domain name as well as setting up the actual website. Now, before I do I have some questions:

How do I make sure people actually notice my blog? How do I make my blog posts come up as often as possible in google search for topics relevant to what my blog is about? How do I build a following?
