although that's not the exact definition of crab mentality, it's similar. if one attempts to communicate with bigots they bring you down at their level of thinking, with dichotomous view like "if i'm right, you're wrong" / "i will find a tricky question to makes you look stupid, proving you retraded, and discarding all other points you ever made", rather than preserving a collective sense of abstraction and objectivity
