So when are we going to see a cool ETH DApp? I mean defi is neat and all but I'd be great to see a mainstream game or something.

Why haven't any of these companies made a DApp for normal everyday people yet?

ETH is a solid investment. It's not going anywhere, and there's so much development going on. The EEA has partnered with tons of big companies. There will be thousands of DApps being released as soon as Eth2 phase 2 is complete. It will take some time but sharding and staking will solve the scalability issues.
