During an inflation crisis, these people get shaken out because of the rising cost of living, rising interest rates and extreme volatility.

As an inflation hedge it’s counterproductive because it inflates the supply of inflation hedges. Stocks and metals work fine against inflation but bitcoin diverts attention away from those assets. It’s possible that the Comex would’ve been destroyed already if it wasn’t for bitcoin. At its worst this new asset class causes analysis paralysis. At its best people get rich at the expense of others.

The profiteers (as long as it doesn’t collapse) are traders, speculators, scammers and miners. This new class of people is as morally bankrupt as the banksters who were supposed to be the enemy. It’s a total waste of intelligence and manpower, not to mention electricity.
