>Why should I sell?
You don't have to sell if you don't want to, but in the time that you've been repasting essentially the same XOM screenshot that's traded relatively flat and paid out a 3-4% annual dividend, I've multiplied my portfolio value several times over and am now sitting in the high six figs myself. I don't post much about my portfolio anymore because I'd rather emphasize the logical process than try to assert some perceived authority through a big portfolio balance, but feel free to take a quick glance at my numbers if that's all you can understand.

Telling other people to go "slow and steady" and compound at a slower rate is objectively retarded. I'm sorry, but it's true.
Price is what you pay, value is what you get. If you want to grow your wealth, buy cheaply valued businesses exhibiting high capital returns or high internal/organic growth. Sell highly valued businesses if/when multiples expand or you find cheaper opportunities. Taxes create some small friction, but often times its worth realizing gains and paying taxes to continue compounding at a higher rate.

At the moment, you'll find the best returns in coal stocks, although I do still like oil.
