Why would you pick basic infrastructure over the protocol that makes it useful? Esp when comparing MCs. The real value capture is the inter-op protocol layer which with fully enabled tokenomics will have a direct relationship to contract value, not simply tx throughput. ETH usage will even go down as L2 usage ramps up, which is an interesting dynamic.
