>And honestly people can't tell the difference between 4K and 1080p as much as they think they can.
What matters is that they think they can and will pay netflix for the privilege and will set that youtube video to max resolution, because screens and phones are increasingly above 1440p resolution.
>They can't help themselves, they will overcharge 5G home services.
Yeah. Especially in the US. Imo, telecoms are natural monopolies, but governments let these shitters be de facto rent seekers with low to no competition.
>I just don't see it being a big transformation that happens overnight
>Also sparsely populated areas are always the last to get these services, I should know I live in a town of about 16k.
It's already happening in China. I think the US will be lagging maybe a year after many other western countries when it comes to 5G outside large cities unless local governments incentives deployment.
Where I live, Norway, 5G is already deployed in some sparsely populated areas that had no DSL because it's cheaper than deploying DSL. There are some 5G towers some 30 minutes drive away from me a bit more on the fringes of civilization. The next places to get 5G will be the places with no fiber (a bit less sparsely populated areas) and places where 4G is getting congested (dense cities).
>I should know I live in a town of about 16k. It's 30 minutes away from downtown Portland and there's only two ISPs for the entire county.
rip in USA

>But I can take the same money I would have invested and go buy a GODDAMN LOTTERY TICKET. I can take a credit card to the casino and knock myself out. And that's perfectly fucking cool.

I'm sorry. Your one way to make it as a discerning investor in burger country is probably to find the gems of the gems among undervalued cryptocurrencies.
