Unfortunately it is incredibly technical shit (even for crypto adepts), therefore it is very easy for people to get lost in the jargon; all you need to know is that Chainlink Labs is working very hard into ensuring compatibility between blockchains
LINK needs to abide by decentralization and censorship-resistance even in centralized systems, which is tricky to implement but not impossible. Arbitrum was working with Chainlink to that end until they betrayed, so now LINK is working on its own house solution
