Trump wants to destroy China and ruin their 5-10 year plans of turning into a domestic consumption based economy that produces higher end goods like tech, cars and medicine. We will slowly raise tariffs and cut of capital investment to china. The Chinese are also very arrogant and think Trump is bluffing. China may hurt the U.S but the U.S can send it's supply chains to a host of other nations that will literally beg for out business.
