The problem I have with this is that people are just jumping to the conclusion that because they MIGHT do something about MMTLP, that somehow means that they’re definitely going to do something about GME. As far as I can tell, there’s no real indication that this will benefit us at all. Do you really think congress is going to be like “alright we fixed one naked shorted stock, what’s next on the list?” I don’t think so. They’ve ignored GME for 3 years, so… yeah. In fact, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if MMTLP starts trading again and we end up with another distraction stock that’s “totally related to GME bro.” That’s already the justification they’re using to post about it on SS, but just like with BBBY, there’s no concrete evidence to support that other than “it was naked shorted too! Ape no fight ape!” When you boil it down, it’s really the same shit we’ve been hearing for years, aside from the fact that congress might do something (but cmon people, it’s probably just lip service). I’d be thrilled if this somehow caused MOASS or at least led us to a settlement (at absurdly high prices ofc), but I just don’t see it happening. I’ll get excited about earnings instead.
