However us little guys are far less likely to lawer up then the big players, so I wouldn't want to take a risk meeting Tyrone in whatever is my closest jail. Too bad there is no fucking way to trade cryptos from within a TFSA.

So when you say you converted back to CAD, did you withdrawl it from your Quad account, or leave the funds in there to purchase the ETH in the future?

Also, see >>4213199 regarding the legality of the tax situation here in Canada. Initially I thought it was ill defined in the law until I found the above links. Now I am worried claiming ignorance will not be a valid option since it appears rather concise. Please correct me if I am wrong.


ALSO for anyone using quadriga to trade, it seems if you leave the funds in their account, because they are not real CAD's then having to report cap gains on any crypto to CAD transaction does not apply because you do not actually receive the CAD funds until the money is fully withdrawal'd from the account.
