I think the senior management at my wageslave job all read the same shitty NPC business tips book lately.

They keep quoting that each employee is not profitable unless they are bringing in minimum 3x revenue as their salary, best is between 4-5x their salary.

Quarterly reviews are coming up this month and I am pretty sure they are going to parrot this bullshit to try and shy away from pay rises. I saw the quarterly accounts though since I checked the tax return and the brainlets left in salary amounts of all my colleagues (which is supposed to be kept hush since it is wagelsave vs wageslave out there) and this bullshit claim doesn't add up. How can I leverage this knowledge? Also why the fuck would a company even hire an employee if they could not extract surplus value from their labour?

I went into accounting around a year ago from a government job thinking the government job I had was dull and wanted to be part of the whole FinTech revolution.

Most of my clients are tech start ups. None of my colleagues know much about crypto apart from "muh bubble" so don't even realise their jobs will be mostly automated within 5 years.

Most of my clients are literal fucking brainlets who expect top tier service when I get paid shit tier wages, while the owners of the firm get to take out juicy dividends.

The cycle of a brainlet "wantrapreneur" is essentially:

>outsource all dev work to India or Ukraine
>go to accelerator for funding and get some VC kike with money to burn to throw some tax write off money at you expecting you to fail anyway

I am a wageslave.

There I said it. I bought into the university and white collar office job meme (accountant). I regularly work overtime and don't get paid extra because I am salaried. I sometimes work weekends too because of ever increasing demands of clients.

I felt like I was getting burnt the fuck out. Anxiety, could feel my body physically deteriorating, constant stress from office politics and carrot on the stick bullshit from bosses.

I took a week off. My plans? Do absolutely nothing apart from focus on myself. I went to nice restaurants and ate healthy food, I went to the gym, I read 4 books on investing, I felt awesome.

Tomorrow I have go back to slavery. A week off focusing on myself was a glimpse into the life I truly want. All those hours I give to my job I could be spending increasing my own knowledge and employing those skills to bettering my own situation, but the constant anchor hanging around my neck of 50+ hours a week means it is unlikely I will ever make it.

How the fuck do we get out of this hell /biz/?
