>'junior' pm on small tech implementation with 3 teams, each with their own devs, qa, clients, user base etc.
>originally responsible for one team
>get word from upper management that the 2nd pm on one of the teams is being 'moved', so i have to take on their work as it's temporary until they find someone else
>say yes, raise the risk that I'll be doing 2 people's jobs and will be stretched thin, ask for more support
>"no room in the budget for that, thanks for being a team player anon we appreciate you"
>get a 10% raise when the other pm leaves
>now responsible for two teams, hectic as fuck, try to delegate and consolidate tasks when possible
>clients notice slowdown on 2nd team over time, deadlines are now being hit 'on time' as opposed to being early
>client complains to management
>they tell client to professionally fuck off
>client complains to upper management
>upper management asks me whats up
>explain situation, show paper trail, highlight that deliverables are still on time, just not early anymore
> tell me it's a shitty situation, i just gotta survive it for a few more months
>now i'm working nights and weekends regularly - clients are slightly happier but at the expense of my personal life, literally everyone else on the team works 9-5 mon-fri
>months of this pass on
>ask for promotion
>'you're great and we think you'll be ready next year, not now, keep at it anon'
>upper management now hands me 3rd team
