ETH has the worst of both worlds because it's slow as fuck and can't scale but can also get hacked or led in a terrible direction if Vitalik or the devs fuck something up.
We've already seen how piss poor ETH has performed in this last hard fork, it's still slow as fuck and who knows what smart contract bugs are in it that they missed.
Ethereum does smart contracts better than Bitcoin will ever be able to, but it doesn't do smart contracts as well as delegated PoS chains do.

ETH doesn't process as many daily operations as Bitcoin does, but compared to DPoS projects it's magnitudes slower. ETH has 40% fewer daily operations than steemit. STEEMIT.
