How will the incoming "4th industrial revolution" play into the predatory capitalism that currently exists and aid in its downfall(if that's what you believe)?

Really curious what some anons here think about the future of capitalism and how it plays into the bet we're all making (rise of API, rise of digital identity, decentralization / governance, AI)

On one hand... I'd like to think that /biz/'s passion for LINK may be a blessing in disguise for the Chainlink team. We are a truly devout passionate group of people ranging from 18-29 who will without a doubt be strong part of the ecosystem in running nodes and helping it flourish.

I think in one way or another they're thankful that they will never have to worry about initially building an ecosystem of node operators since they will always have us to rely on.

The key is to stay humble, don't be an annoying shill, run your nodes and care for your family. Keep your head down and let this disruptive tech grow and prosper. Once the true network effect happens is when we will all celebrate.

My plans as it stands are to move my residency to a warm beach country that has no capital gains tax and keep day trading for a year or two then when I'm worth 5MM+ move to a nice area around Toronto or a local town and work in Data Science / Analyst or retire and fuck around.

I wish I wasn't so tied to my friends in Canada, I couldn't see myself living anywhere else due to that fact alone, there's no point starting from scratch in a European country.

I don't think that there is any other coin at the moment that is poised to take over bitcoin as a currency. The coins that are succeeding right now are those that have some sort of application other than purely as a currency.

Bitcoin is a beneficiary of being the first mover. Litecoin would be my first guess, but it suffers from being viewed too much as a lab for what Bitcoin can do and not as a replacement.

Even though there are much better coins out there to use as a currency (shit even BitBean is better designed for electricity use and confirmation times), nothing else has the mass awareness and ultimately that's what it's going to take.

There needs to be a consensus on what will replace Bitcoin and then a movement to create more awareness. The Bitcoin ATMs that have started popping up are just continuing a dead horse. Bitcoin was a good starter but it suffers from too many splits in the community to remain a viable option for the coming decades.
