it baffles me how some of y'all are so emotional about these assets. i learned this game from the systematic angle, trading setups with strict risk limits, etc.

depends on your goals. daily/weekly/monthly/annual income? long term capital growth?

the super simple catch-all strategy is to make a shopping list of high quality stocks you're confident will be around for decades (GE, 3M, J&J, Coke, Apple, Google, etc) and buy-in whenever you see them cross above the 200 day moving average. set a stop about 2x the daily price range (ATR) below the entry price, and scale your position size so that only 1 to 5% of your 100k bankroll is lost if that stop is hit (depending upon your risk appetite for each opportunity). for those positions that survive&thrive, maintain that 200 day as your fail-safe stop-loss and sell off a little of whatever is dipping below its 60 day moving average whenever you need some skrilla. see? easy. we'll waive my coaching fee, but only this once. <3
