Here's an alternative for any anons struggling as this is what I did:

Bought ETH on an exchange (KuCoin), withdrew the ETH using the Arbitrum network to my Trust Wallet. This meant I then had ETH on the Arbitrum network sitting in my Trust wallet. You may need to add this into your wallet view using the "manage crypto" button on top right

Then inside my Trust wallet I connected to the Uniswap d-app (you could also go to the Uniswap site and connect your wallet), set the network to Arbitrum inside Uniswap, then imported the KNS contract address and bought some using ETH. Leave some ETH for gas fees.

Anyone feel free to add to this, and my specific example is for trust wallet users so sorry if it doesn't help.
