I keep lurking in smg and I feel like I don't get any smarter, granted the closest I've been to trading is paper trading as I'm waging to get a good enough stack of cash of at least 10k to trade with. It always hurt me to go on r*ddit and see dippos show off their 100% gains with 200 dollars. Please tell me how stupid I am?

dividend yt says i need to only look if the company is healthy + if they have ever lowered their payouts. Most of dividend yt also says "dividend stocks are to hold forever so the buy price doesn't matter". Also they don't necessarily look for growth stocks. This was already kind of shocking because it goes against most of what more conservative stock investing theories say. IDK how you guys look at it. maybe it's the youtubers who are retarded
