TQQQ and SOXL especially are exposed to a volatile underlying. I'd wait for the shit and piss 500 to get above the 200 MA before buying either. You won't get fucked by volatility drag and it means the market is generally bullish. Pic related shows that 2X leverage works better for a buy and hold strategy with the nasdaq 100. Calls on top of 3X ETFs has a very high risk, and they have lower options liquidity. You're better off buying calls on QQQ instead if you want the leverage. There's a good chance the market drops to new lows by December too. I don't think we're out of the woods yet.

I mean, why not just for the 3x if you're going to buy and hold? A 2x Nasdaq 100, and 3x SP 500 probably makes more sense.

>Anybody not DCAing into SOXL, TQQQ, BULZ, FNGU, and friends right now is a fool
BULZ and FNGU are both under $10 and are exposed to the underlying's volatility. TQQQ historically works better with 2x leverage assuming a long term buy and hold strategy. Pic related. I think 2x leverage would be better applied to SOXL as well. The main issue is that we could end up in a long term recession or choppy market. The companies offering the 3x ETFs might eventually liquidate. BULZ and FNGU would be first to go. UPRO and TQQQ would be the safer plays, especially with a 200 MA strategy or something similar.

Just dollar cost average into a 2x or 3x ETF tracking the S&P 500 or Nasdaq 100.
