And those who could somehow afford a home are debtmaxxed beyond belief. I hate being a rentuck but at least I can build up enough savings not to be immediately on the streets if I lose my job. One of the recent homeowners my age I know spent literally all their remaining savings after the down payment on rennovations. People are running on the knife's edge and when the jobs spigot turns off there's gonna be pain.
