I shilled part of my family into LINK at low prices (including my mom) and this actually prompted them to find more about the crypto space and get tech savvier in the process (setting up wallets, linking Coinbase to their bank accounts, installing and modifying different apps on their phones etc) and they are all very happy. The one dude that I couldn't get into crypto was my dad. My dad has never been the investor type, and he definitely didn't think crypto was worth anything. I shilled him one last time when he got a small inheritance (like $30k) 2 years ago and advised him to put at least $1k in Chainlink. He refused, which is ok. He bought a new kitchen and had the yard completely reworked, which is his passion anyway. It made him very happy.

Every now and then he asks me about the price of Chainlink and is happy for me when I tell him. Some people are just content where they are I guess. When I make it I will buy off his mortgage and let him live in the house for free.

I have also felt like this for about 4 years. I decided to max out my student loans (1k EUR a month) and just chill without actually going to classes. In 2019 I told my family that something big was going to happen in 2020, something to start the decade off with. Corona, the subsequent (crypto) market crash and LINK pumping in the summer definitely made that feeling come true.

I absolutely bombed my studies and will probably drop out, racked up a 70k EUR debt, but have a fat stack of LINK. Timeline feels weird but not in a negative way. To me at least. If it weren't for LINK I would have been fucked.

It hurts so bad not being able to know the future. I just want to know if LINK is at $5 or $500 in 2022.

Friend, this is exactly one of Chainlink's more exciting usecases. Telecom providers, phonemakers, phone OS providers, search engines etc. are all sitting on goldmines of data that can't be monetized due to legislation. By using oracles paired with Trusted Execution Enviroments (TEEs) and other data privacy guarantees, it becomes possible to sell and use large datasets without breaching privacy laws. This enriching those companies, and unlocks more usecases for whoever ends up using that data.

The chart only accounts for a 350m circulating supply, not the remaining held team and node incentive tokens. If you're convinced that the full 1b will never hit circulation (or if the majority of tokens will be locked up as staking collateral in nodes), you can multiply the price by however much the circulating supply is for mktcap comparables.
