good question. i asked the dev esteban a similar question and this is what he said months ago.
1. when plebbit tipping is released it will have a fee entering the DAO treasury (voting in the DAO is by plebbit token weight). The DAO also votes on how to curate the default feed and also dev issues.
2. plebbit will sell NFTs (used as avatars which can whitelist certain sub/boards).
3. plebbit will eventually release its own name service (like ENS) but named .plebbit name or something similar, and proceeds go to the treasury.
