but still getting enough sleep and doing something besides studying is a good way to study
and doing something besides testing will help your mind sort/organize what its learned (if that something is not thought intensive, such as exercise)

brain turns short and medium term memories into long term memories when you REM sleep, so if you dont get any sleep between learning/studying and test time you wont see as much improvement
