If you need 100% uptime what you should really do is have multiple places to trade set up, thus redundancy on your end.

and if you're freaking out because you sent your net worth is held by some internet start-up then you deserve to get financially raped anyway. goybase disappeared right now, forever, and I lost it all I would be annoyed but not anywhere close to ruined. It would be the same feeling I get if I lose at a casino or wake up from a drug bender. And, much like those two scenarios, I would probably just do it again after some recovery time.
