So i was talking with a friend that plans to open a lab. He plans to hire a Master's graduate (with 0 experience) for $14/hr... says that $14 is an upgrade from her current job in retail for $12/hr.

Fair enough, supply/demand from an economic POV. Still though, I doubt that person will be producing only $14/hr even for their first year...

I also know of a friend that worked as an engineer for 13/hr in her first year. I can't help but feel that being a wage slave is a retarded idea if the employer is keeping the entire pie to himself.

Question is, by how much do employers generally jew their wageslaves?

how do we find out what the real value that employee is adding to the company, to find out (((employers))) profit off their slave labour.

>First job.
>Minimum wage $11.25 an hour.
>Get paid $12.50 an hour instead simply for working hard and doing overtime.
>1 to 2 free lunches everyday.
>Make $1750 on first month.
>Boss loves me.
>Work less than 30 hour and get paid for 65 hours instead.
>Wants to promote me after a month of working there.
>New wage will be $15 per hour.
>Boss applies to five star restaurant.
>Offers me to jump ship with him.
>Thinks I'll make a good assistant.
>Will get promoted again if he's hired.
>My new wage will be at least $20 an hour or more.

This guy thinks I'll be able to make six figures one day. Is he plotting something? I graduated high school 6 months ago. All my friends are still trapped in university for another 2 to 6+ years so I get a head start in life in addition to being debt free. Some of them won't get jobs for the first few months or a year and others will realize they got a useless degree and be stuck with a wagecuck job. My mom doesn't care how long I stay so I can save ridiculous amounts of money and I'm only spending $400 - $750 a month on food, transportation etc. What do I do with the excess amount of money? I don't like bank fees while my money is idle, I'm not buying a car because they eat money and I lack the social life for a cellphone. What would you do in my situation?

ITT: We share financial secrets that we know off, that enables us to gain an advantage over that particular field.

I recently saw a couple of threads on /biz/ regarding gambling, and since I've been playing poker for quite a while, (but no longer do because I'm now back in Ethiopia after 4 years in the UK for educational purposes) I thought I'd share a few tips that I've gathered along the way.

You might ask why I'm being generous enough so as to share a "secret", (which surprisingly isn't common knowledge amongst gamblers) such as the one I'm about to write down and create unnecessary competition for myself, but like I've said in the preceding paragraph, I'm no back in my native country and unfortunately, my winning days are now over because the internet here is expensive, to say the least; and even if it was affordable, there's no way for me to resume my winning streak because the country doesn't have online banking nor does it have foreign currency for me to play with. #forcedtobenocoiner

Most people involve themselves in gambling without prior knowledge or understanding of how things actually work, same goes for forex, which I think that no one ought to dabble in unless they've got a degree which gives them an edge, (preferably in Finance or Economics) and/or have a mentor that helps them take their first steps without them breaking any of their bones in the process.
