Everyone who makes real money gets rekt at some point in some capacity.

You were retarded so it was from a scam, but understand that every day people who will be future millionaires are losing money they really can't afford to in a way that's either a major setback or being fully zeroed out. It doesn't matter what it is, either, because the principle is universal. Whether you're a wagie who got rekt in crypto from having their 10x long liquidated, or a first-time business owner who's losing a bunch of money because they're not operating profitably yet, the 'getting rekt' stage is going to happen at some point. Would you feel any better about your $7000 vanishing because you bought a shitcoin right before it dumped? What if you put $7000 into your business but made no extra revenue? The material result is the same. What actually separates the wheat from the chaff is that the people who actually make it are able to power through getting rekt and try again until they succeed. It's infinitely easier said than done. Just look at how quickly the people who thought they could handle a 30% bullrun dump will panic sell their shitcoins at a loss when it actually happens.

If being rekt is too much to tolerate, that's ok. It just means you're exactly like everyone else and you need to operate like most people. Save responsibly and temper your expectations: hope for a comfy-to-middling life where you work a job you don't hate for someone else 40 hours a week, enjoy what small luxuries you can afford in your off time, and retire old like everyone else. If you want more than this, you're going to have to earn it by suffering through the kind of losses that would make most people give up forever.

I literally just now posted a new thread with this exact sentiment. Which adds only more to that maniac fire blazing in my psyche. I agree with everything in this thread. What the FUCK is going on?

>for years, and years to come (for some of us).

What will the long term effect of this crypto obsession on individual mental health be?

Whats the most realistic way I can eliminate the need for a job in my life?

I have 56,000 USD in assets to my name after working for one year and 3 months.

I hate working a job and just want to chill. I wanted to invest in rental properties but the market keeps outpacing the rate I can save.

Well more than enough to live comfortably for now. I'm trying my hand at game-design via steam platform now with a friend, so I hope this takes off so I can quit my job.

>$51.3K savings
>$2.3K checkings
>$84.76 cents in wallet
>$8.5K emergency fund
>$3500 monthly income(before taxes) as a computer technician for the hospital here
>renting a house with several others to save up even more / only $950 for living expenses and rent monthly
>bought some expensive furniture for my room for about $4K
>Computer cost $5K alone

It helps that I didn't fall for the rich meme, continue to take public transportation, avoid eating out if I can, and still only shop at low-budget stores like k-mart and target.
