I have to say too, there are more people out now in the bitter rain and slimy mud of the cariboo and northern gold fields than I have ever seen, and more are filtering in every single day. seriously stay out of that world, its really scummy and insidious little ecosystem of jews, thieves, slavers and despots who do not like competition. One of my mates from university got into the Ruby trade through family friends in Myanmar. He goes all over east asia buying gemstones at penny prices from peasants who don't know he sells these same stones on for 100x what he paid. He also does a lot of contract work for jewelers in Belgium, often going to Tanzania or Liberia for specific stones a client wants on their wives ring finger.
