sure thing, thank you for playing my game and allowing me to practice

five of swords, the sun, knight of wands
five is a card that is not necessarily associated with easy sailing, in fact kind of the opposite, it usually means that either you are currently in a tough situation associated with instability or, something like that is on the way. (bc 4 is like stability, and 6 is harmony, to get from 4 to 6 you have to pass through a period of turmoil). it's also a number associated with human (think the body having 4 limbs and a head) and the natural world (5 elements). swords is mental stuff or things related to the mind, including work or study performed with your noggin.

the sun: better times ahead! the sun is probably the most unequivocally positive card in the deck. all the good things that you would normally associate with the sun. in the deck i'm using, it shows a happy baby on a horse carrying a wand or scepter. growth! victory! health! the high part of a cycle!
knight of wands: shows a guy on a horse holding a wand, full grown and looking ready for action. knights mean action, movement, progress, charging forth and doing shit (sometimes a bit too fast or impetuously!). wands is growth. so this guy is indicating some kind of forward progress and growth on something in your life or just in general.

the story this reading tells is: either right now or in recent memory you were going through a period of turmoil or uncertainty, but that paved the way for growth and beautiful things to emerge, which either have led or will inevitably lead to the ability to venture forth and use your newfound wisdom/talents (gained through perseverence through turmoil) out in the world, to do literally whatever the fuck you want.

aight Jesus imma let you finish, i feel u and see where you are coming from and agree that the sons of man are asleep in their hearts and go through this life as sleepwalkers with only brief bursts of cognizance but with that said, here is a counterpoint from ya boy Hafiz

O Beloved, upon this river of wine, launch our boat-shaped cup,
And into this river throw those weeping with envy, too.

Winebringer, throw a cask of wine into my boat,
For without that–for forty days and nights on the open sea–
I will die of thirst.

I am lost in this city and can no longer find the Winehouse door.
Please help me to find that street again where Love resides.

Bring me a cup of wine that is dark red and smells like musk.
Don’t bring me that expensive brand that tastes like money
and smells like lust.

Even though I am drunk and worthless, be kind to me,
And on this dark heart shine the light of Your smile.

If it’s sun at midnight that you desire, throw the veil from
The face of the rose, and you will have all the light you need.

If I die, don’t let them bury me in a dusty grave;
Take my corpse to the Winehouse and throw me into a cask of wine!

Hafiz, if you have had enough of this world and all its violence,
Then take up the cup, and from the inside let this liquid love make peace.

here is a good article on the topic of wine and drunkenness as metaphor for good things, not just bad, by /xsg/ resident esoteric theologian Charles Upton

>The symbolism of wine in the spiritual life has a long and distinguished history. The use of bread and wine as ‘species’ for the Christian Holy Eucharist harks back to the ‘sacrament’ of Melchizedec, the ‘shaykh’ of the prophet Abraham; they may be taken, among other things, as emblems of the union of Truth and Life, of Knowledge and Love, or of the states of Sobriety and Intoxication described by the Sufis.
