Cathie Wood is arguably the best fund manager to which retail investors have access. Her funds outperformed the market in 2020 by leaps and bounds, and she did it by taking a contrarian view on companies like TSLA with no profits that were, by all accounts, way overvalued. She'll probably continue to outperform as a fund manager for the rest of her career (she's 65), but all the money pouring into her funds will limit their ability to move somewhat, and of course there's the very real possibility of a down year meaning you'd be buying high. Always risk...

Cathie Wood and her team do more DD and are more thoughtful with their investment decisions than any autist here will ever be. She outperformed the market last year, and if you believe her investment thesis (or theses, really), she's likely to outperform the market this year too. The ARK funds are only as good as their parts, though. If you look at their holdings, they're definitely taking some risks. You could just pick your favorites from the ARK lists and buy shares directly, or you could trust in Cathie's wisdom but then what would you have to talk about on /smg/?
