Getting conflicting answers online even with ChatGPT, but under what conditions does leasing a car give the best ROI vs Buying?

As someone who spent a great deal working on their shitbox car from taking out the engine to replacing the interior seats and transmission.
>WILL NEVER AGAIN LISTEN TO 4CHAN
>WILL NEVER AGAIN BUY SHITBOXES

It's a massive waste of time/money/energy/space to do all of this yourself. You'll spend x amount of hours learning how to do something, spend x amount to fix a part, hopefully won't break it/order the wrong part, then x amount more time putting it all back together again, with the x dollars spent on buying the tools. Thats assuming you even have space for this "garage" in your studio apartment.

Theirs a concept call the time value of money thats lost on this backwater anime forum. I would like to see how some of these frog posters live, and where they live. By the way op I think you should get a car thats within your budget, and if you plan on keeping it could spent a little more and drive something you like. Don't just buy a shitty car just for the sake of driving. It's worth it to spend a little more on what you like.
