Yeah I kinda saw that coming. Not the cell network in specific, but power outages. And that's one reason I wanted to get all my bank funds into silver & gold pronto because the payment systems and banks might go down. It's possible they would even use the power situation as a justification for a bank holiday, when they want to pull some sneaky shit. That's just one of the externalities that can come along and fuck up someone's "get rich by waiting until the market bottom when silver is $10/oz and gold is $1000/oz" plan. In 2008 that would have been ok, now it's too dangerous.
I want to get a radio like pic or similar, but don't have money in my bank to buy online. Those funds are for silver and gold only. :3 I'll have to look in local classified ads instead.
And I have many other things to buy, like more wood for the fireplace. That's one of the next things on my list.
