This was a contract typo, and the contract operator was held accountable. Chainlink's system worked absolutely flawlessly.

Just like Chainlink worked flawlessly when every other centralized oracle shat the bed. Pic very related.

Chainlink's price feeds have over $10 billion on the line in Defi.
And if you fuck up the price feed, you get pic related.

Cope.

Yeah, same way Compound and Maker have their own built-in oracle lmao.

To be honest the constant partnership/integration announcements aren't really coming from Chainlink.
All they mean is that the current version of Chainlink is very popular.

And yes, the current version of Chainlink is extremely basic compared to what was laid out in the whitepaper, but even in this state it completely blows all other oracles completely out of the water.
Chainlink is making Compound and Maker look like absolute clowns, see pic.

Still, it's heartbreaking to see Chainlink squander all that momentum.
They even went live with OCR two months ago, and they won't even acknowledge it.

Even if Defi stayed the exact same size as it is today, Chainlink would inevitably grow much larger as shitters like Compound and Maker eventually have no choice but to throw out their useless centralized oracles and adopt Chainlink.

You people are clueless.

Right now: price feed dominance.
The same thing all those "chainlink killers" and in-house oracles by Maker, Compound, ... are clamoring for; with hilarious results.

According to Iota, this centralized oracle system is an advantage over Chainlink because you don't have to "worry about an intermediary" lmao.

Centralized oracles are shit, and Iota will find out just like Maker and Compound did.

They have some of the greatest academic minds working on this (Ari Juels, Fan Zhang, ...) and a massive warchest.

Remember: they were extremely "slow" to release mainnet too, but when they did release it, it had gone through 3 full-blown audits and worked without a single systemic issue ever since; while competing oracles shat the bed left and right (see pic).
If anyone in crypto can pull off major releases, it's Chainlink.

>it is of no value to pay an intermediary 16m a week to medianize data

Tell that to Maker and Compound lmao.
Their "medianizers" shit the bed, causing untold dozens of millions of USD in losses.
