The way I see it, Chainlink right now is in a similar position as Ethereum was in 2016-2017. A well known name amongst ""crypto natives"", but with the majority of them not understanding the impact it would have, and the things it would enable. Most people didn't understand that Ethereum was so much more than another bitcoin clone, and the people who did understand still were not aware of the magnitude of what could be built using ethereum. By the end of 2017, with the launch of IDEX, games like CryptoKitties and so on, people began to realize what was happening. Today, the Ethereum ecosystem is incredibly rich with things most of us never would have imagined in 2016.

I believe that chainlink is in a similar phase. Few people truly understand the potential for Chainlink, and even amongst us who do, we cannot imagine the things that will be invented and built with Chainlink in the coming decade.
