So in Korea the government is actually beholden to the will of the people (go figure)

If Kwon was found to be guilty in a Korean court and they had access to the funds, all it would take would be for soke Korean to post the burn proposal to the blue house petition website (equivalent to the white house) and if it got 60k signatories and was deemed legal, they would burn it all.

Years ago the Korean counterpart to Gary Gensler tried to unilaterally force BTC into full custody, limiting daily outflows and imposing capital gains taxes on crypto out of a clear blue sky.

80k Korean crypto traders went apeshit and blew up the official petition forms. He was out of a job in 24 hours and later investigation found him to have been mega short on BTC before trying to impose the windfall regulations net.

Koreans have been a conquered nation and people for most of their history, only recently have they had genuine autonomy and they are also very proud of going from kimchi farmers to a world technology power in less than 50 years... so they take their civics very seriously.

>why? Because it *could* actually happen here and only here.
