Do your fucking homework, Bitcoin sucks balls and the attack vectors are well spelled out by the developers and history.

You described what is effectively an expensive "dust attack" which has happened several times in Bitcoin's history. You just described one of the most expensive ways to do it, to very little benefit vs someone using optimal-sized fees that would "disrupt" the network the most. Maybe a flood of expensive replace-by-fee transactions that you keep bumping the fee on constantly as others try to get in. There would be no way to estimate the appropriate amount to compete with the attacker.

The best attack for a nation-state in my opinion remains a 51% attack with miners. Remember earlier I said miners could just mine blocks with no transactions? That would be very effective. At that point fees don't matter, the economic incentive model is ruined due to bad actor, and mitigating it would be trying to identify the evil miner and ignore his blocks. Good luck with that if they are well funded with lots of IP addresses and people that know what the fuck they're doing (ie not you).

Both of these attacks should have happened 5 years ago if they wanted to snuff it out. I don't know why they didn't already. Bitcoin only remains secure by the amount of people (big players) invested into it who are willing to actively dedicate resources to its defense, and the size of the mining network to prevent the 51% attack from a well funded attacker. Both of these have increased exponentially.

Govt sat on their asses like retards. China threw out the best opportunity to 51% attack by banning miners when they could have (legally!) co-opted all the domestic mining capability to perform an attack.
