Another thing, I feel like 25% is fair to ask for given I've single-handedly built them a working prototype, but I could also be way off. The people involved in the startup are the two owners (who I'm meeting with in a few days), me, a mechanical engineer who dropped out (I've taken on a few of his roles preparing a 3D-printable file), and an app developer who has so far done jack shit. The owners have put forth the financial risk though (probably only $500-1000 in total, but still). So is 25% an okay number?
