I'm keeping things pretty neutral and I'd suggest to not get too carried away in the headlines

US, China, Iran etc. have a lot more to gain than to lose by chimping out.
They'll all make a show of thumping their chests to drum up support. Sure, things can go wild, but it really isn't as likely as the rhetoric makes it seem.
US equities will be held up regardless; Trump and the Fed need to secure the boomer retirement criteria.

My advice is still "steady in, steady out". Unless you are really trying to run an aggressive trading strategy, you should never be all-in or all-out. And you shouldn't be making big sudden swings in allocations unless things really get apocalyptic. The media will always want to make things seem apocalyptic, that's their job. We've had these same Iran headlines for the last couple decades, just like oceans rising up to cover Florida and North Korea nuking everyone etc.
