How do we feel about censorship in crypto biz?

For those out of the loop a bunch of racist meme coins recently launched on Solana, mostly involving black people. There was very little reaction in response to these tokens.

However ONE token in particular sparked some controversy after suggesting a certain demographic may have contributed to 9/11.

Now I know a lot of us guessed that this might happen but it seems to be happening sooner than later. Solana's founder Toly even spoke out against the token and multiple front end apps such as DexScreener and BirdEye suggesting banning such tokens from their sites.

To take this a step further, every action on the blockchain is public and can eventually be brought back to YOU. This can create a whole new level to social credit. Bought a racist meme token 5 years ago? Jail.

Seems to be the whole decentralised aspect of crypto is slowly going to disappear. The premise of things infinitely existing on the blockchain doesn't apply imo if it can simply be hidden because it offended someone.

Thoughts?
