I still haven't paid my student loans yet. The forbearance is truly the best thing to ever happen to me.

I live in Phoenix, AZ and it's dusty as fuck here. Add in that people wear shoes in the house, kids, pets, etc and the end results are dirty fucking carpets and tile.

Roughly 5 years ago there tons of owner/operator carpet cleaners but they seemed to have give it in up in favor of driving for Uber or Lyft.

Anyways, I'm considering starting up my own little carpet cleaning business since the economy is doing better, there's not a lot of competition and the startup costs range anywhere from $500 to $25,000.

Customers wouldn't be an issue; there are three target areas that are high income and have big fucking houses.

I also have a primary income that covers all of my personal overhead; I think that would give me more room to undercut the competition at first until I got some experience and built up a good reputation.

My question is this:

Do I apply for a loan, look for investors or self-finance to get the equipment needed to get this venture up and running?

I would need:

- The cleaning devices and hardware
- A small truck to haul said hardware.
- The chemicals
- Elbowgrease

Any suggestions, critiques, experience /biz/ could share with me please?
