For awhile last year, everyone was all excited about "interoperability" and it was a meme for pumps like ICX, WAN, AION, etc. Either I'm a brainlet, or interoperability is totally solved by chainlink being blockchain agnostic. It's like a multi-purpose plug that gets inputs in (data) and then spits out outputs (writing and storing the results on the smart contract platform). Sine it is blockchain agnostic it can signal both blockchains of the results, which they then write and store the results of the smart contract on their platform, essentially allowing them to interoperate since they both recorded the transaction. It can trigger payments of whatever currency/token as well since it is blockchain agnostic. which is interoperable.

Also, if one smart contract is dependent on or needs data from another smart contract, couldn’t there be an open api from the blockchain that an oracle could tap into and use to feed into the other platform?

Am I missing something here?

dive into reputation farming/sybil attacks as weaknesses - and decentralisation/immutability as strengths, although it can also have its own weaknesses as there are ethical borders that can be crossed quickly
